People who take Pewdiepie seriously are the people who don’t watch his videos.
being offended by the “death to all jews - subscribe to keemstar” thing is understandable, but going as far as kicking him out of his network, cancelling ‘Scare Pewdiepie’ season two and saying that he supports fascism ?? I know it’s because of some other clips as well, but it’s not his fault if some actual neo-nazis take him seriously and go around saying that he’s voicing their voice. Felix’s intention is certainly not that, what he’s doing is called dark humour, not nazi propaganda thank you very much.
It’s not his fault if neo-Nazis like him? Um, hate to break it through you, but the reason they like him is because they’re able to see through his ‘jokes’. Whether you call it a ‘joke’ or ‘satire’ or even just ‘Pewdiepie being Pewdiepie’, that doesn’t change what it is by very definition: anti-Semitism. There isn’t a place out there in which a sign saying “death to all Jews” isn’t anti-Semitic. That there is why neo-Nazis like him! Perhaps unintentionally, but at the end of the day a guy wielding fascism as if it’s some joke to make himself look ‘edgy’ is dangerous and disgusting.
There’s a thing. I have a Jewish family, friends and I know a lot of Jewish people who watch him and who are not offended. If the people who are directly concerned by this are not offended, why people who are not concerned should be ?
Also, his jokes are used to make fun of tendencies that may seem ‘fascist’ : the YT Heroes program would have allowed anyone to flag anything they personally didn’t like and gain power by doing so. You can mass flag if you have enough power. Oh wow, doesn’t it seem just a little bit unfair ? A bit too biased ? Nazis didn’t like Jewish people so they killed them. Some people hate certain YouTubers because they don’t fit their taste so they would have mass flagged them and eventually terminated their channel. And by doing this, those YouTubers would have lost their job and the outcomes would be harsh.
That’s the kind of things that Felix wanted to do. Not nazi propaganda, once again.
Very few people are actually saying Pewdiepie is a fascist. I don’t particularly like the guy’s content, but most people aren’t racist or anti-Semitic or the like. Most people are decent. However, the issue is when people in positions of power and fame use fascism as if it is some ‘joke’ that makes them look ‘edgy’. That there is dangerous, especially when you have a young audience like Pewdiepie. The videos in question didn’t make fun of Naziism or even portray it negatively. Instead, they laughed WITH the Nazis - not AT. That’s the distinction and that’s where the wrongness is.
Sorry but the purpose of that video was to show that people on fiverr would do literally anything for money. That’s what happened. So no, he did not laugh with the Nazis. If it was that bad, I would have felt uncomfortable or even threatened, but that’s absolutely not the case.
I’m so glad that I’ve only been going up in followers since reblogging that I stand with pewdiepie. I’m so glad that you guys support him too, through all the stupid crap he’s getting.
When you make specific words “off limits”, you give that word the power you desperately want it to not have. Either none of it’s okay, or all of them are okay.
@therealjacksepticeye Your new hairstyle looks awesome,it inspired me so much that I decided to make this little gif for ya ~ Really hope you like it. Also, a quick question: would you dye your hair any different color? If yes, which one?
